Jeffery "David" and Ellen "Mary" are proud residents of Delaware, Ohio. We raise our children on 2+ acres in the county, surrounded by free-ranging chickens & turkey and a large raised bed garden. Knowing where our food comes from, understanding sustainable growing practices, and ensuring our family is not exposed to excessive dyes, hormones, or antibiotics in our food is important to us. It was on these same values we founded David & Mary's.

Our Story
Our story begins at the back of our property, where Jeff built a small wooden roadside stand—just a few shelves, a hand-painted sign, and an a little box for payments. We stocked it with fresh eggs from our hens and cookies baked in our kitchen, and we ran it entirely on the honor system. No one stood watch, and no one had to. Trust was the foundation, and our community never let us down.
At first, it was a simple way for the kids to learn responsibility and earn a few dollars. They helped gather eggs at sunrise, mixed cookie dough in the afternoons, and checked the cash box with wide-eyed excitement. But we knew—even then—that we were building more than a little farmstand. We were raising a family on the values we cared about most: hard work, honesty, and heart.
For years, Jeff and I dreamed of having our own farm store—a place where we could share not just the food we grow, but the story behind it. That dream was always in the back of our minds, even in the early days. With time, the farm grew, and so did our family’s involvement. What started as a small roadside stand slowly expanded into a full family-run operation with gardens, greenhouses, animals, and eventually, a thriving wholesale farm exchange.
Today, we provide fresh eggs, cookies, produce, and other local goods to homes, markets, and businesses across the region. We’ve grown, yes—but never outgrown our roots. We still gather eggs by hand. We still bake in small batches. And we still work side by side as a family, carrying forward the same values that guided us from the very start.
That little honor stand built by Jeff wasn’t just a stand. It was the first step in a dream that we now get to live every day. This farm is our life’s work and our family’s story—and we’re honored to share it, one egg and one cookie at a time.
